What I’m Loving, Edition June 2016

It’s the end of June (what?!) so here are a few things I’m loving right now.

  1. Me Before You book (and movie): I know there is some controversy surrounding this movie because of the assisted suicide theme. I get it. I do. So if that is something you just can’t get over, don’t go see the movie. But here’s the deal – I read this book 3 years ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. For me, when I read the book, it was never about the assisted suicide. It was about the value of a life no matter the disability. This book is probably one of my top 3 favorite books of all time. And that’s saying a lot because I read at least 50 books a year. Before you see the movie, I would encourage you to read the book because, although the movie was great, the books are always better than the movies.
  2. Lularoe leggings: This company is one of those home-based businesses that can turn some people off. But their leggings. Y’all. Seriously like butter. I have two pair and I could honestly buy 10 more. They are so comfortable. You should check them out! And you probably have someone in your Facebook newsfeed who sells them. Because everybody on Facebook is selling something these days. HA!
  3. Lauren Daigle’s Once and For All: This girl. I love the richness of her voice and the message of this song. “Be lifted high as my kingdoms fall. Once and for all.” Yes, Lord.
  4. This essay: I don’t know if  you’ve ever read the Momastery blog by Glennon Doyle Melton. It’s not for everybody. But I just recently read Glennon’s book “Carry On, Warrior” and this essay had me rolling! If you are a parent and sometimes fight the “eat your food!” battle, read this. It is hilarious!

That’s it for this month! Happy July!
