What I’m Loving, Edition September 2016

September has been a big month for us. We now have a teenager living with us! And Peter is counting down the months till retirement and the start of his new adventure in physical therapy school. Fall is always a busy time for our family as we get back in the groove with school and activities but I’ve still managed to find a few things that I think you might love.

  1. The new novel by Beth Moore, The Undoing of Saint Silvanus. I’m just going to be honest with you – I was really, really nervous about the fact that Beth was writing a novel. I’ve loved all  her Bible studies but a novel is a whole other undertaking. But this book is good. The characters are quirky, the story is interesting, and since the book takes place in New Orleans, I feel a special connection to the book. I think you will enjoy it too.
  2. And since we’re talking about this new novel, I am recommending this podcast episode to you too. If you like to follow the Boo Mama or Big Mama blogs, you will love it! Melanie and Sophie talk about a lot of random things, as usual, but then they interview Beth Moore. It was fun to listen to and their music selections crack me up!
  3. And finally, I recently bought some new running shoes. Why is it that every time I find a good pair of shoes, the company redesigns them? Anyway, I found the Saucony Kinvara 7, and they are very lightweight and comfortable. If you’re looking for a new pair of running shoes, you should head to your nearest specialty store and try a pair of these.

Alright. That’s it for September. Enjoy your weekend!
