What I’m Loving, Edition April 2017

April is over, and our family is moving in one month. One month. I can’t believe it. We have been crazy busy around here with Peter’s retirement ceremony and celebration dinner, Vivi’s early birthday party, and getting our house ready to be put on the market. (We were hoping the owners would wait until we moved out, but no such luck…)

Here are a few things I’m loving right now:

  1. Birdie’s Market: Okay, if you don’t live in Valdosta, then you won’t be able to appreciate this. But Birdie’s Market is a coffee shop/breakfast/lunch place in downtown Valdosta. It is so cute and the food is amazing. We actually held Peter’s retirement dinner celebration in their room upstairs and it was absolutely gorgeous. If you live here, check it out!
  2. Goodreads: My hubby tried to get me to sign up for Goodreads for what seems like forever and I fought him every step of the way. But because I read A LOT (I’ve already read 27 books since January 1), I decided to give Goodreads a try. I’ve been using it now for several months and I love it! It keeps track of all the books I’ve read, the ones I want to read, and the ones I’m currently reading. Plus I can see what my friends are reading too!
  3. Lion: Have you seen this movie? Peter and I watched it a couple months ago. Y’all. My heart was broken. I did the ugly cry. For real. Even after the movie was over, all I wanted to do was curl up on the couch and sob! This is a true story of a little boy in India who was separated from his family, put in some sort of orphanage, and then adopted by an Australian couple. I was especially emotionally invested in this movie because we are adopting from India but I think anyone would love it. If you’ve seen it, I would love to hear what you thought!

That’s it for this month!
