What I’m Loving, Edition June 2025

It’s June! Summer is halfway over – how can it be? We’ve been super busy with a Regional Soccer Tournament in Texas and an upcoming trip to Tampa for Nationals. In between all the soccer, I’ve been busy getting kids ready for camp and visiting family. June always seems to rush by!

Here are some things I’m loving right now.

Something to Read:

  • Here One Moment: This book came out last year and has been on my TBR forever. I finally got around to reading it and I’m so glad I did! This story follows several characters who encounter a woman on a flight. The woman seems to prophesy each person’s age of death and cause of death. I had no idea where this book was going but the ending did not disappoint!
  • Broken Country: This was a book club pick in May and it came highly recommended. I always like to read the “buzzy” books if possible so I can be in on the collective discussion. Y’all. This one might just be my favorite book of the year. Set on a farm, the story follows a young farming couple whose whole existence relies on past secrets. I gasped my way through this book. You will not see this ending coming!
  • The Berry Pickers: This was another “buzzy” book that I couldn’t resist. This book follows the story of a missing child, her family, and how her absence affected those who knew her. I loved this book, and it’s currently on a kindle deal for $1.99! So many good books this summer, y’all!

Just For Fun:

  • The Playbooks from the Lazy Genius: It’s no secret that I love a paper planner. (My favorite one is the Full Focus Planner by Michael Hyatt.) But I’ve discovered a very helpful tool recently that I need to tell you about. It’s the Summer Playbook! This little booklet helps you plan out your summer with helpful questions such as “Here’s What Matters to Me This Summer,” and “Have-To” and “Hope-To” sections. It’s also broken down into weeks so you can see everything you need to do for the month and then place them on your paper calendar as needed. I love it so much and I’m so glad I stumbled upon it. Also, The Lazy Genius makes them for all seasons so I will most definitely be buying the Fall Playbook when school starts back.
  • Satin Pajama Shorts: I have been living in my satin pajamas because 1) it’s summer; 2) it’s hot; and 3) peri-menopause. I have some navy blue ones similar to these but I also found a super cute pair at TJ Maxx not long ago. Grab some before they’re gone!
  • LMNT Watermelon Salt: I love this flavored water packet from LMNT. It’s filled with electrolytes and is refreshing and cool – just what you need in the summer heat. If you aren’t a fan of salt, maybe stay away from this flavor but if you can handle a little saltiness in your flavored water, grab a box of these. The perfect way to stay hydrated this summer!
  • Summer Schedule: Listen, I realize summer is for lazing around and sleeping in and pool days. But I really need some sort of schedule to make me feel sane. June has been so crazy that I’ve gotten absolutely nothing done so I created a Daily Summer Schedule for each child. And frankly, I made one for myself too. It has items such as “Read for 30 minutes,” “Move your body,” “Do 1 chore,” etc, and each item must be  completed each day. Don’t worry, I’m not a slave driver. We’re still doing fun things like going to the library, swimming, having Cool Treat Tuesdays, and eating at our favorite restaurants. But we need some structure over here at the Terrebonne house!

Ok, that’s it for June! I’d love to hear what you’re loving right now!
