What I’m Loving, Edition April 2021

April is coming to a close and we are finally going to see some warmer temps here in TN this week. I can’t wait – especially since it snowed ever so slightly last week. I mean, where are we? North Dakota?

Here are a few things I’m loving this month:

  1. This podcast episode: I loved listening to Dr. Josh Axe discuss the healing power of food. In fact, I loved it so much that I even bought his book. Check it out!
  2. Ted Lasso: Well, Peter and I finally jumped on the Ted Lasso bandwagon and it is amazing. Let me say, it’s not for the children, y’all, and if you’re offended by crude humor, this show is not for you. But the main character, Ted Lasso, brings such encouragement and positivity, which is exactly what our world needs right now. If you have Apple TV, you need to add this to your watch list. The second season is releasing this summer and we can’t wait!
  3. This article by the Gospel Coalition: “When Kids Won’t Bow to Your Idols” – the title says it all. Read it and let me know what you think.
  4. The Guest List: Ok, this book has a couple of racy scenes – feel free to skip over those – but the book in general was so good. Full of interesting characters with suspect histories, I was on the edge of my seat to find out how the story was going to end. If you’re needing a good beach read, this is the one for you!
  5. Laura Tremaine’s book and my book club: I know I’ve mentioned this book before, but it’s worth mentioning again. Share Your Stuff, I’ll Go First will get you and your friends talking and you’ll find yourself understanding people on a deeper level. Grab a copy and host your own book club with it. That’s exactly what I did and it’s been so fun!

That’s it for April! What are some of your favorite things this month?
