What I’m Loving, Edition November 2022

I feel like I blinked and November is over. Does anyone else feel that way? Sooner than I’d like, it will be 2023!

Here are a few of my favorite things from this month: (Some links are affiliate)

First, a few things to read:

  • The Winners by Fredrik Backman: If  you haven’t read anything by this author, I’d encourage you to start with My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She’s Sorry or A Man Called Ove. But The Winners (which is third in a series) might be my new favorite. I sobbed through the entire last chapter. This book is a beautiful look at rivalry and friendship and forgiveness.
  • Not Consumed Advent Study: I bought this study for my 3 youngest kids and myself because I’m a sucker for anything Advent and I needed something new to do with the kids this year. Each kid has their own booklet but we’re all reading basically the same thing each day. Even Jillienne can participate – her booklet has space to draw pictures of the stories she hears. We’ve already started it because I know how busy December gets, and so far, this kids aren’t complaining too much. Ha!

Next, something to watch:

  • Peter and I love watching Somebody Feed Phil. Seeing other parts of the world, meeting the people who live there, and exploring their food and culture is right up my alley. Season 6 just released a few weeks ago and we devoured it. (You like what I did there?) My two favorites were the Croatia episode (now I need to go to Croatia) and of course the Nashville episode. Those Nash restaurants are on my list to check out!

Last, a few extras to check out:

  • Buff City Soap: This store is a relatively new find for me. We’ve had one in Clarksville for a while but I hadn’t ventured in until recently. Well, I’m sorry I waited so long. Their handmade soaps are amazing and make great gifts, Jillienne loves their bath bombs, and everyone is raving about their laundry detergent. You can also order online if you don’t have a store nearby.
  • Clarksville Candle Company: My very favorite candle company! And my favorite scent is their Fall candle. It smells just like fall. These candles burn evenly and I haven’t found one I don’t like.
  • Lash Princess mascara: I’ve tried all the expensive mascaras and I keep coming back to this one. You can find it on Amazon or your local drugstore and it’s only about $5.00. Still the best mascara, in my opinion.

And that’s it for November! I hope everyone has a great December! Be on the lookout for my Favorite Books of the Year post – you know there will be a giveaway!
