What I’m Loving, Edition July 2020

Well, folks. This is the last Favorite Things list before I go back to work next week. I cannot say enough how weird this summer has been. I’m hoping all of you have enjoyed your time home and are prepping for a new, and probably very different, school year. Honestly, as a speech therapist in our local school, I’m not even really sure how to prepare. But we’ll get through it, right?

Here are some of my favorites for July:

  1. This shirt: I love casual attire, even as I head back to work. And this shirt does the  trick. It’s soft, comfortable, and covers all the body parts I want to hide. Grab it before it’s gone!
  2. The Dearly Beloved: I read this book a few weeks ago and fell in love with it. It was described by the Modern Mrs. Darcy as a “quiet book” and that’s exactly what it is. The plot line isn’t filled with excitement but it’s a beautiful story of faith and doubt and friendship and support.
  3. Boz videos: We bought several of these DVDs years ago when our oldest was a tiny toddler and they have been deeply loved by all of our children. We recently introduced them to our two-year old and she was enthralled by Boz, the big green bear. If you have littles, check these out. There are several to choose from and they are filled with faith lessons. They’re great for road trips and your children are sure to love them!
  4. Anomia: This game has quickly become a family favorite. Whether you can think quickly on your feet or not (like me), your family and friends will love the competition this game brings to the table. We love to pull it out when friends come over but I even play it with the kids on rainy afternoons while Peter is at work. Super fun! Check it out!

And that’s all for July. Like always, let me know if you try one of these. And tell me some of your favorites from this month. I’d love to hear them!
