What I’m Loving, Edition September 2023

Will fall ever show up? This weather in Tennessee likes to tease us for sure! But regardless, here are some of my favorite things this month.

Something to Read

The Paris Daughter: This was a book club pick and one of my favorite reads this year. Set in Paris in World War II, it follows the story of two women and choices made that affected their families for decades to come. Emotional and beautiful – I loved it!

Remarkably Bright Creatures: I’ve talked about this book in a lot of places because it’s such an unusual concept. When I first heard about it, I definitely did not want to read it. A book about a communicating octopus? No, thanks. But the story took me by surprise and truly took my breath away. I think you’ll love it as much as I did.

Bittersweet: This is an older book by Shauna Niequist and it’s been on my kindle for months. I finally decided to read it and I’m so glad I did. I love Shauna’s writing style and her unique perspective on life and family and faith.

Some Things for Fall:

Pumpkin spice Chai: Brienne recently introduced me to the Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte from Starbucks and I can’t stop thinking about it. It was the perfect fall drink with just the right amount of pumpkin. I can’t wait to go grab another.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice cold brew: And along the same theme, I stumbled upon this cold brew at Publix one day and grabbed a bottle of it. Now, every time I stop at Publix, I check the cold case to see if it’s in stock. So delicious, especially now that it’s technically fall but still 85 degrees.

Fall Candle: The Clarksville Candle Co is my favorite candle company and I love their fall scents. This one smells just like fall and I always try and stock up when I see them in the store. If you’ve never bought candles from this company, I encourage you to browse their website and give a few a try. You won’t be disappointed!

That’s about it for September. I hope everyone is having a great fall!
