What I’m Loving, Edition November 2023

Hey, friends! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. We traveled to Louisiana to visit family and had a great time. Now I’m looking forward to the Christmas season!

Here are a few things I’ve been loving this month:

Something to Read:

  • The No-Show: I literally just finished this book and it was surprisingly good! It follows three women who have all been stood up on Valentine’s Day – by the same man. Chapters alternate between the women so you hear from each of their perspectives. If you’re looking for a sweet, sentimental read this holiday season, grab a copy of this. I think you’ll love it!
  • The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes: Well, I gave in and read this prequel to the Hunger Games. I’d heard it wasn’t great so I wasn’t looking forward to reading it, but my 11 year old desperately wanted to read it and see the movie so I read it first to make sure there wasn’t anything risqué or raunchy in it. To my surprise, I actually really liked the book and now I want to go back and read the Hunger Games series again to see how things are connected.

Something to Listen to:

  • This podcast: Levi Lusko and his wife Jennie interview Sadie and Christian Huff and it makes for a fun conversation! They talk about exercise, parenting, faith, and everything in between. I really enjoyed listening this week.
  • This song: This came on the radio during our 10-hour drive home over the weekend and it had me all in my feelings. Mary Did You Know – Reckless Love mashup. It’s going to be one of my go-to songs this Christmas season!

Something for Fun:

  • These bath bombs: Jillienne is my bath bomb girl and these are the best! They smell so good, leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth. If you need a small gift for teachers, co-workers, etc, these are a great idea!
  • Laundry Soap: And while we’re on a Buff City kick, their laundry soap is amazing too! It’s pretty expensive but lasts significantly longer than regular laundry detergent. My favorite scents are coconut and magnolia but you can ask them for any scent they offer, and they’ll mix it up right there in the store for you.

That’s all for November! Can’t wait to hear some of your favorites too!
