What I’m Loving, Edition December 2018

Well, friends, we all survived another year, some of us unscathed and others of us barely hanging on. I cannot believe it will be 2019 in a couple of days, can you?

I wanted to share a few of my favorite things with you this month. I’m sure you all have some favorite gifts and experiences from this Christmas as well, and I would love to hear some of yours!

  1. These monogrammed slippers: I ordered these slippers as gifts for a couple family members and while I was at it, I ordered some for myself as well. They are cozy and warm and I wear them All The Time around the house. If you’re looking for some new trendy slippers, grab a pair of these!
  2. My newest journal: I’m a sucker for a new journal so when I heard about these, I immediately ordered one for myself. Here’s the deal – Each page of the journal has a scripture at the bottom, but it’s not just any old scripture. They have each been personalized with your name or the name of the recipient! (Here’s an example: “Adrienne, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.” Psalm 130:7) Isn’t that beautiful? I love the idea of reading a personalized scripture every time I open my journal, seeing my name in His Word. And if you go to their website and sign up for emails, you can get 10% off, so head over there now!
  3. Spending time with family: It is very rare these days that we get to spend time with all our extended family. Everyone lives in different parts of the country so when we finally do get together, it’s pretty special. This year for Christmas, we were able to visit Peter’s family in New Orleans where my brother-in-law introduced Peter and Jonah to a fun video gaming system. Then we drove to North Louisiana where we spent time with my parents and my brother and his family plus all our extended family. While there, we played another really fun game. And although playing games was fun, the best part was spending time with family and watching how much my kids love their grandparents.

I hope all of you had wonderful Christmas. I’m looking forward to what 2019 has in store for our family!
