What I’m Loving, Edition November 2020

Thanksgiving is officially over, Black Friday and Cyber Monday Sales are in full force, and I’m sitting over here wondering where November has gone. 2020 has been the longest yet shortest year ever!

In my favorite things list this month, I’ve got a couple podcasts, a limited series on Netflix, a great pair of  leggings, and some Advent cards for you. So, basically, something for everyone. Check it out!

  1. This interview with Levi Lusko: I love Annie Downs (as you will see as you read through this list). She interviewed Pastor Levi Lusko, who I really knew nothing about before I listened to this podcast. But he was full of one-liners and truth-bombs and godly wisdom which I think we could all benefit from this year. If you have some extra time, give it a listen and tell me what you think.
  2. This interview with Lysa Terkeurst: Here is another Annie Downs podcast that I loved. Lysa Terkeurst is one of my favorite authors and I love to listen as she teaches from her experiences. I turned this on one morning when I was out for a run and found myself in tears as she spoke right to my heart. One of the best interviews I’ve heard with her!
  3. Challenger: The Final Flight on Netflix: If you were a child of the 80’s (or even if you weren’t), I think you will love this limited series. It follows the crew of the space shuttle Challenger as they prepared to venture into space. I remember sitting in science class as a little girl, excitement building in anticipation as we watched this monumental liftoff. And then the devastation that followed. The truths exposed in this series will both sadden and anger you, but it’s worth watching.
  4. These leggings from Athleta: My sister-in-law recommended these leggings to me and I have LOVED them. They are cool and comfortable and made from microfiber so they don’t stick to any of my longer shirts and sweaters. These are definitely my go-to leggings at the moment!
  5. Crew and Co Advent cards: I recently ordered a set of these advent cards, which are designed to go with the Jesus Storybook Bible. My kids are old enough to read the corresponding Bible story out loud at dinner, and then we discuss some of the major points of the story. The set of cards also come with some twine and tiny clothespins so we can hang each card in our living room once we’ve read it. Check out Crew and Co for all sorts of neat Scripture cards and reading plans!

I hope you enjoy some of these favorites! Let me know what you’ve been loving lately!
